What can I say? Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your participation, in the ICA Gala. It was a flawless event from the beginning to the end. Every member of this team stepped 'up to the plate' and did whatever it took to make this a memorable event, San Francisco style. Margaret Casey summed it up in one word at the end of the night 'Fanf*ckingtastic Thank you Margaret for the space and Tai for being so accommodating, you were great to work with. The Galleria was the perfect choice and I have never seen it look better. Thank you Margaret again and thank you Jeanne Lauren. Because of you, we had the pleasure of working with Gregangelo, Laura Fraenza, and Jeffrey Ferns along with the incredibly talented and zany characters of Velocity Circus. The generosity and professionalism of your organization added so much to the experience. Gig & Eddie, thanks for your generosity and experience'. You were right about including live music. Strauss Strings and Bogo were perfect touches, enhancing the evening. Many thanks to Earth Circus. You set the tone and started the party before the guests arrived at the 'Ball'. 'The Maestro', Dave Tutton thank you, thank you. We all love working with you. You read a crowd like none other and you are the master puppeteer. Greg Duncan your artistry magically put the services of the staff in the spirit. Thank you for being part of it all. Thank you Karen De Temple for your insight and hard work. Jeanne- loved the playful cats and then you transformed into an Arabian fantasy, you are one hot babe. A special thanks to Marie the Balloon Lady. Loved the trees & balloons, they added the right amount of sparkle in the places we needed them. On the topic of sparkle, thank you TRI Lasers for a terrific show. Drew Letchworth, thank you for Madam Fortuna Fischi, She is fabulous and I vision I will not forget !! Thank you Maple Leaf Farms and Progressive Gourmet for providing the ingredients for the dinner. Jim from J.A.Z. thanks for your help. The ovens had us cooking. Thank you Gallo Winery, Grey Goose Vodka, Sidney Frank Company, Brew4U and BBC so very generously donating the wine and spirits. Dirk, thank you for joining the team and making it happen. Your staff was great to work with. Jeff and Dave from Clear Memories WOW! The ice bar was a hit and made a great first impression. I'd say it looked 'cool'! Lumatech, what an introduction to your company! The lighting created quite a buzz within the crowd. Vox, heard and unseen. Thank you for your important contribution to the fantasy. I look forward to working with you in the future. Karen Malouf the new furniture at Cort is a breath of fresh air. I love it. It was so popular with the guests that I didn't have a chance to try it on. Thank you too for helping with the truck issues. I know it was a challenge for you to load in. Unique Tabletop and Classic Party Rentals contributed so very generously to this event and the event community. The beauty of your tableware combined with the luxurious look and feel of the linens added so much to the success of this event. Thank you Julie, Susan and Sue for your professionalism and for the time and energy that you personally contributed. Thanks to the Melons Crew. You prepared and served a delicious and beautiful dinner in a very difficult event site. We have received nothing but positive feed back from an audience of peers within the catering industry, a special thanks to Sheldon for recruiting volunteers to assist with the crowd control. Rebecca and Melinda, you guys were great and can work on the plate up line anytime! Gary, your flowers were as always wonderful and one of them graced my table for a few days. Thank you also for your creative inspiration and for working so closely with John and Clinton to bring the entire event together. Last but not least, thank you Clinton & John. You gave as much to this 'free' one as you would to a paying customer. You were pivotal in making it all happen. You and your team at Jon Murray Productions are always a pleasure to work with. Angus captured some great shots of the evening and I look forward to seeing the pictures taken by the ICA photographer and the video. Laura Freanza has agreed (or was appointed) to write about the event. Her words and images that document this fabulous event will take us to the final part of this project, getting the word out and some press for our efforts. My practice has always been to put the same care and quality into a donated event as I do for a paying event and I am very fortunate to have worked with a group of like-minded folk who all gave so much. Dear Gig Awesome! Wonderful! Fantastic! The Best! These were just some of the words used by PARC staff members and their guests when they talked about BIG CITY REVUE's performance at our Holiday Party on December 6th. Gig, Please extend my thanks to everyone at BCR for the fantastic job they did playing at my reception. At one point during the evening I looked around and no one was sitting down, everyone danced all night. They played song after song of great dance music. My family and friends universally have said that can't remember a wedding where they had that much fun. They made a great memory for everyone. I have already passed their name on to several people. Judy and the trio also did a beautiful job during the ceremony. It turns out she knew the irish song we wanted to play. Apparantly it is more popular than I though.
